Healthy Mango Banana Smoothie

I am sure by now you know the importance of adding fruits and vegetables into your daily meals. According to the American Dietetic Association recommendation, as an adult, you should be consuming 2-3 cups of fruits a day. Fruits are not only delicious, they contain very important elements that our bodies need to perform proper function to help keep us healthy. Fruits reduce our risks for developing chronic diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, heart disease and stroke. Part of the elements in fruits that are very useful to our bodies are vitamins, antioxidants, water, and natural occurring sugars.

Again, to ensure that you get your recommended amount of fruits and vegetable for the day, try making smoothies if eating whole fruits is not your favorite thing to do. This is better options and is great for keeping you full and satiated for longer. The high fiber and water content will keep you regular. The fiber from fruits and vegetables is good for your gut health as well.
